My Last Minute Mother's Day Gift Ideas

Mother's Day is just around the corner and I thought I'd share my last minute DIY ideas!

Framed Quote

Items needed:

• 11x14 Frame (I got mine at Michael's on sale for $9.99)
• 8 1/2x11 Paper

• Printer

I put together this sign using InDesign. I used Avenir Bold which is a desktop font and downloaded a free .eps crown icon. Alternatively, you can go to if you dont have access to InDesign or Photoshop. You can customize your "Keep Calm" poster and download your free PDF! I printed using my home printer and voila!

Pillow Shams

Items needed:

• 2 yards of fabric
(yields 2 16x16 pillow shams and 14x18 memory foam sham)
• Sewing Kit or Sewing Machine

If you have a sewing machine this would only take you 10 minutes or less to create. OR if you're like me with no sewing machine, get your stitch on. That's what you call labor of love! Here's a tutorial to help you out.

Stenciled Glass Brush Holders

Items needed:

• Small cylinder glass vase
• Glass Paint
• Adhesive silk screen stencils
• Foam pouncers

This one was surprisingly easy and fun to make! I wish I had more glass paints! The instructions are included in the stencils.

If all else fails...
Too Faced Melted Lipsticks
If you don't have time to create something why not give mom these? They are moisturizing and the color payoff is amazing!
